Beasley Babysitting (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Beasley Babysitting website and mobile application (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.
When you register or use the Service, we may collect:
We use your information to:
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only in the following limited ways:
We retain your account and booking information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
The Service is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children as users of the Service. Information about a child (such as name, age, or care notes) is provided solely by an adult parent or guardian as part of a babysitting booking, and is treated as that adult’s account data. If we learn we have collected data directly from a child under 18 acting as a user, we will delete it.
If you use our mobile app and grant permission, we may send you push notifications about your bookings. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
The mobile app may request access to your device calendar to add babysitting sessions. This access is used solely to create calendar events at your request. We do not read, modify, or store your existing device calendar data.
If a babysitter (or the service operator on their behalf) chooses to connect their Google Calendar, the Service requests permission to the Google Calendar events scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events). We use this access for one purpose only: to automatically create, update, and remove calendar events for babysitting sessions scheduled in the Service, so the babysitter’s calendar stays in sync without manual entry.
We use this access in two ways: (1) to create, update, and remove babysitting-session events on the connected calendar; and (2) to read the start and end times of existing events on that calendar so we can show families when the babysitter is already busy and avoid double-booking. When checking availability we use only event start and end times — we do not read, display, or store event titles, descriptions, attendees, or any other event content. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising or profiling, or for any purpose unrelated to scheduling your babysitting sessions. The only Google Calendar information we retain is the identifier of each session event we create, so that we can update or delete that specific event later. You can disconnect Google Calendar access at any time by removing the app at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
SitSafe’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer or sell Google user data to third parties, and we do not use it for serving advertisements.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and Firebase’s secure authentication and storage infrastructure. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
